Virtual team connections

As individuals and organizations reimage the NEXT world of work, one thing is increasingly clear – Connections Matter. The pandemic has underscored the criticality of social connectivity in the context of business, increasing the importance of understanding how, when, where, and through who work happens.

In the emerging hybrid workplace, organizations are rethinking the way they maintain an innovative culture, enhance relational well-being, reduce collaborative overload and accelerate transitions into new roles, teams and organization.

But does "rethinking" simply mean making small adjustments that will have small impact? What if you could apply a profoundly different way of thinking to radically improve employee success and satisfaction?

In this interactive workshop, Rob Cross, professor at Babson College, co-founder of the Connected Commons (co-managed by i4cp) and Greg Pryor, Connected Talent Program Leader, will be joined by Connected Commons practitioners to walk you through new ways of thinking when it comes to establishing, strengthening, and analyzing employee connections:

  • Shape the Next World of Work. Join a conversation with thought-leaders to explore the latest research, insights and implications on how social connections are increasingly central to our ability to innovate, execute and thrive.
  • Accelerate Role Shifts. Whether you call it the Great Resignation, the Great Reshuffle, or the Great Revitalization, Rob Cross and Greg Pryor will share the research and resources from their recent HBR Cover story – How to Succeed Quickly in a New Role to help you reimagine your approach to on-boarding and talent mobility.
  • Reduce Collaboration Overload and Improve Well-Being. Based on his latest book and research, Rob Cross reveals how high performers collaborate in ways that enable them to be 18-24% more efficient than peers and invest in ways that promote performance and well-being in today’s hyper-connected world.

The workshop will include multiple opportunities to meet and interact with peers at other organizations, share ideas, and outline practical next steps to make progress within your own team, department, or company. Attendees will also receive a copy of Rob's new book Beyond Collaboration Overload.
